Nichole Langley, LMHC
I like to take a collaborative approach to my sessions. I generally will ask a lot of questions, challenging you to think differently. My belief is that each of us know ourselves best and it is my role to unlock the skills you already have. I primarily use interpersonal therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) when appropriate.
When working with me, you can expect to take away new concepts to ponder until the next session. I encourage you to come to session with anything that is on your mind. Together, we can break down different situations and find patterns that can be changed or strengthened. Often, our time together is limited and the true change comes as a result of the work done in between sessions.

Therapy can be a great tool that can help you organize your thoughts and identify actionable steps that are in alignment with your values and goals. My therapy style combines empathy and validation with gentle directness with the hope to empower clients to take action and remind them where they have control. To foster growth and transformation, I utilize psychodynamic, DBT, CBT, internal family systems and feminist frameworks to assist with developing insights surrounding core beliefs and schemas that shape our lives. I am a person-centered therapist that places an emphasis on identifying personal strengths. My hope as your therapist is to hear your story—the joys, the hardships and the nuances—and hold space for your thoughts and feelings, while simultaneously identifying patterns and systems interfering with your life. In addition to exploring ways to navigate life’s nuances using your values and goals as a framework.
Amber Sullivan, LMSW
I am a licensed master social worker and have extensive experience working with adolescents and their families in St. Lawrence County. Each client I work with I see as unique, with their own set of strengths and abilities to build on. You will be treated with respect, empathy, acceptance, and an open mind. Together, we will identify goals and potential solutions to problems through a solution-focused and person-centered approach. I compassionately assist each client to overcome, shape, and create their best self, overall leading to a greater self-understanding.
Genevieve Ramsey, LMSW
As a Potsdam area local, I am passionate about providing quality care to the members of our North Country communities. I like to take a team approach to therapy, meaning that I aim to work collaboratively with my clients to address their concerns. Life is full of challenges, and I feel strongly that no one should have to face them alone. Along with maintaining strong therapeutic alliances with my clients, destigmatizing and normalizing seeking support via therapy is also very important to me. One of my ongoing primary goals is for my clients to always feel heard, valued, and validated during our time working together. Some of the treatment interventions I use most often are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychoanalysis, Humanistic/Client-Centered Therapy, Strengths-based Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy. CBT is one of my favorite interventions, as I think it can encourage clients to achieve a sense of some control over their thoughts, emotions, and reactions.
I obtained my bachelor’s degree in psychology from SUNY Potsdam in 2011, and my Master of Social Work degree from CUA in 2019. An area that continues to interest me is helping people recover from past traumas. This has led me to complete additional training focused on trauma-based interventions. I love to learn about new ways to best help others and I hope to never stop learning throughout my career.
In general, I see therapy as a valuable tool to help empower clients to reach personal goals, build various skills, and live the most satisfying life possible!
